This is an agreement between xxx (breeder)
and xxx (new owner) entered on Sunday, september xx,
2006 upon the purchase of a black Labrador Retriever
male puppy.
Breeders guarantee:
The puppy you have purchased is a pure bred Labrador Retriever dog. The

registering your puppy is attached.
Dam: Blondie Shaw SNxxx
Sire: Bart SNxxx
Litter: SRxxx
The puppy you have purchased was whelped
to a healthy bitch by a healthy sire and is, to the
best of the breeders knowledge, a healthy puppy.
Your puppy has been examined by a veterinarian at Mount
Shasta Animal Hospital on August 1st (on the day of
dew-clawing) and on September xx, and was declared
healthy and free of birth defects.
You may contact Mount Shasta Veterinary Hospital for more information
at:
In case a crippling birth defect is diagnosed
within the first year of your puppys life, you
can return it for a full refund to the breeder.
Your puppy has been dewormed on xxx and
xxx, and has been vaccinated by the breeder on xxx
(parvorirus) and xxx (puppy combination 5x vaccine
+ Coronavirus). Your puppys health record is
attached.
Your dog was bred out of love to his
parents and to their breed in hopes to share with you
the joy of living with a good and loving dog. To my
knowledge neither your puppy nor his parents were ever
treated with cruelty or harmed. Neither the puppy nor
his parents have ever shown any signs of aggression.
It is believed that your puppy can grow to be a well-behaved,
loving and loyal companion if treated well.
New Owners obligations:
Treat your dog with love and respect.
Educate yourself regarding nutrition,
training, exercise, housing, socialization and medical
needs of Labrador Retrievers. Labrador retrievers require
large breed food (breeders recommendation is
Iams Large Breed Puppy food for the first 18 to 24
months of your puppys life and then Iams Large
Breed Adult). They also require training and regular
mental challenges, physical activity (retrieving, running,
walking and swimming) and would be happier if they
are allowed to live at home with you.
Take your dog to your vet as soon as
possible (preferably within 24 hours) to evaluate his
/ her health and schedule a vaccination and flee /
heartworm protection schedule and regular checkups.
Follow this schedule. Do not take your dog to public
places frequented by other dogs until the vaccination
schedule is completed.
License your dog with the local authorities,
which requires continuous Rabies vaccination.
By buying this puppy you assume the responsibility for its well being
for the rest of its natural life. Provide your dog with all necessary
veterinary treatment.
If for any reason you become unable to
keep your dog, attempt to find it a new loving home.
Failing this you may return the dog to the breeder.
If you intend to breed
your dog:
Do not breed an unhealthy dog.
Do not breed before performing OFA required
hip and elbow X ray and getting approval of your dogs
hips and X-ray. Do not breed a dog with abnormal results.
These X rays cannot be performed before your dog is
24 months old.
Breed your dog with a dog who meets the
same or higher health standards. In selecting your
dogs mate consider the dogs temperament,
trainability and looks.
Consult your vet. before breeding your
dog. And follow your vets instructions in care
for the bitch and puppies. Educate yourself about breeding
and whelping Labrador Retrievers and the care of the
young puppies.
Do not breed excessively.
Prevent the whelping of unwanted / unplanned
litters isolate your bitch during heat and keep
your stud from bitches who may be in heat. If there
is a way to mate dogs will find it. It is YOUR
responsibility to prevent unplanned mating.
Find responsible and loving owners for
the puppies.
If you do not intend
to breed your dog:
Have your dog spayed or neutered as soon
as your vet is prepared to perform the procedure.
